Santa Marta

Today is our second day in Santa Marta.  It is very warm and mostly sunny which is exactly what we wanted. More and more people are showing up at the resort but most are Colombian. Yesterday we got the special treatment, it was a funny day:  1st we were supposed to leave from Bogota to Medellin and then transfer our flight to Santa Marta...finally at the very last minute just as we were about to board Avianca put us on a direct flight. They even got an English speaking person to accompany us and to explain since we were a little confused about what was happening. Secondly Karl sat beside a very nice lady on the plane who also spoke English. When we arrived at Santa Marta she was kind enough to help us find our bus to our resort. 3rdly when we got to the resort we were supposed to be in a bungalow but for some reason was upgraded to a superior suite.  Everything we asked for was in our room and everything is nice and clean. Everyone here is also very nice and helpful. The mornings here are dedicated to the beach and the late afternoons to the pool....can't really beat that.  Charles is enjoying time with us even if he may find it a little hot...Vincent is 4 years old and needs to assert himself but we are pulling through and overall he's having a good time.  The resort is big and is starting to fill up slowly, Iguana's & lizards are EVERYWHERE - they are beautiful and Vincent is really enjoying looking at them.  Well I think I will relax in our hammack on our porch before going to the pool...ahhh... what a life!

Ceci est notre deuxième journée a Santa Marta, nous sommes très heureux d'etre ici. Il fait chaud il fait beau et la plage et piscine son très bien! Hier nous avons été chanceux c'était une drôle de journée. Premièrement a la place de prendre l'avion de Bogota et de transferer a Medellin jusqu'a Santa Marta la compagnie aerienne nous a mis sur un vol directe a la dernière minute ce qui était vraiment bien.  De plus Karl était assis a coté d'une gentille dame dans l'avion qui parlait anglais et qui nous a aider a notre arriver a Santa Marta.  De plus quand nous sommes arrivé a l'hotel ils ont changer notre chambre pour une suite supérieur. Le tout est beau et propre. Le matin nous allons a la plage et l'après midi a la piscine. Il fait environs 35 degrées et c'est très humide. Charles et Vincent vont bien et semble aimer notre nouvelle aménagement temporaire.  Ah oui les Iguanes et lézard, ils sont partout. Vincent aime bien les 'spotter' dans les arbres. Ils sont vraiment gros et très joli.  Bon un bon repos dans notre hamack sur notre gallerie avant d'aller a la piscine serait bien...ahhh...a bientôt :)
